Parker’s Arc is a 10-unit assisted residential community that is licensed as a board and lodging facility with the Minnesota Department of Health, and is registered as a "Housing with Services" site. Parker’s Arc provides care to individuals who can no longer live independently at home but do not require the level of care provided by a nursing home or hospital.
The care provided to Parker’s Arc residents combines housing, supportive services, and health-related services in a home-like environment. Professional staff is available for 24-hour emergency health and safety issues. Other available services include linen and personal laundry services, three meals daily plus snacks, housekeeping, social and recreational services, pastoral care, and transportation arrangements.
Each unit consists of two rooms that can accommodate one or two people. Each two-room suite has a kitchenette and a private bathroom and shower. An emergency call system, telephone jacks, and cable television access are also available in each unit. All utilities except telephone and television are covered in the monthly rental fee.
Parker’s Arc contains common living areas, including a community kitchen and dining area, a lounge, an activity room, and a workshop. The residents have access to the Body Works in LakeWood’s Wellness Center with a selection of modern exercise equipment such as stair climbers, stationary bikes, treadmills and free weights. Other features include a guest room for visitors, coin-operated washer and dryer, and a whirlpool tub room.
